Ska and Elizabeth May say no to CETA

Watch the video of Ska Keller and the leader of the Canadian Green Party, Elizabeth May, speak out against the free-trade agreement between Canada and the EU:

Canada and the EU are about to conclude a free-trade agreement that is much more than just about trade. It gives private companies the right to bring sovereign states to court. It will enable trans-national companies to sue Canada, or the EU for introducing legislation that would decrease the expected profits from their investments. Any future legislation that empowers consumers, workers or protects the environment could be affected.

We Greens are in favor of strong social and environmental standards, no matter where. Therefore I and my friend Elizabeth May speak out  against CETA. In Europe and in Canada Greens stand together with the civil society against CETA.
