ECJ Białowieża forest ruling: Forestry managment infringes EU-Law!

The European Court of Justice has today ruled that the forestry management decisions taken by Poland concerning Bialowieza forest infringed EU law.

Greens/EFA co-president Ska Keller comments:

"The ruling brings justice to all those who for years have put their heart and soul into the protection of one of the last primeval forests in Europe. The ruling is a signal to the Polish government that it must respect European rule of law, not only in nature conservation, but also when it comes to freedom of the press, independent judiciary and women's rights."
